WORKING WITH METALS

In this module you will learn how to properly use the Plasma and Waterjet Cutters located in the DBL across the street from the Architecture Building.

The module focuses on modern manufacturing techniques, particularly CNC technologies. Students will learn about Plasma CNC, using ionized gas to precisely cut materials. They’ll explore Sheet Cam, a software for efficient toolpath creation and G-code generation. Fire Control ensures smooth CNC operations. The module covers theoretical aspects of Waterjet CNC, which employs high-pressure water and abrasives for cutting materials. Protomax layout and Make are also included, related to an abrasive waterjet system.
