FDM

Fused Deposition Modeling

FDM prints by depositing melted plastic line by line, layer by layer. It's the workhorse of the lab — affordable, versatile, and suitable for most architectural and product models. We run a full fleet of Prusa machines in multiple sizes.

Start with the Training Module

Module 03 walks you through model development, 3D scanning, slicing, and your first print — with a Makercorps team member guiding the way. A consultation or class intro session is required before your first independent print request.

Special Use

SLA / Resin Printing

Our most precise offering to date — ideal for small, intricate geometry like miniatures, jewelry prototypes, and complex organic forms. Significantly more expensive than FDM and requires post-processing.

Formlabs Form 3+

High Detail. Higher Cost. Different Process.

SLA printing uses a light-cured liquid resin to produce smooth, highly detailed surfaces. Use it when FDM won't cut it for detail or surface quality.
